Power Up Review

The first bad thing i noticed while playing the new game were the tons of bugs in this games. Here's a list of some bugs i remarked:

• sound-effects poping up, although associated action has already ended
• "impact-clouds" appearing, although there's nothing happening at all
• One time i was able to clone my boxes. I don't know how it happened, but i suddenly had 4 instead of 2 L-shaped boxes
• The second robot didn't charge, although the current flowed from one robot to the other (This thing really made me go nuts, because it happened to me in level 13 which is hard enough without that glitch)
• Sometimes the sticky blocks decided not to be sticky anymore
  

Another thing i didn't like about this game is the physics-engine. I think it's supposed the give the objects a bit of bounce, but this bounce is just too much. The smallest collision will send your boxes flying in every direction.

I didn't like the controls either. If you pike up a block, it will rotate around your mouse-cursors' axis, which is good for flipping boxes, but if you just wanna lay a box flatly on another.

I was also disappointed by the graphics and the music. Especially the background-graphic seemed some kind of unloving to me.

This alltogether (especially the physics-engine in conjunction with the conrols) will frustrate you sooner or later.

How did i find Nitrome?

Back in 2005 (I feel so old writing this^^) i used to play alot of flashgames on Miniclip.com.

And it happened that all of my favourite games on Miniclip (Chick Flick, Roly Poly, Feed Me and Frost Bite) were all made by the same company (You see: The genius Nitromelogo-Intros work wonders).

But i somehow lost interest in playing flashgames (Shame on me!) until i found out that there were other guys in my class playing Nitromegames.
This developed some kind of competition. We betted, who was able to complete the newest games first and stuff like that.

And then i found out about some youtubers posting Nitrome Walkthroughs and stuff (adamhermie was some kind of idol to me^^) and so i ended up posting Nitromevideos, too.

Why is my ninja so fast?

A lot of people are asking me, why my Final Ninja is so damn fast, and i have absolutely no idea what they are all talking about.

I did not speed up my video or anything - maybe the upload caused a little upspeeding = I have no idea whatsoever

Small Fry Glitch

You can't drag your character through walls?
You can!
If you use firefox, hold Ctrl and zoom in with your mouse wheel - now you will be able to drag your character trhough walls!
If you use Internet Explorer you can change the zoom in the bottom right corner, the trick also works this way



EDIT: You can even drag you're characters through massive walls

Dirk Valentine 2 again

Actually there's another easter egg in Final Ninja Zero.

In level 18 Monty appears again and says

Right Dirk..
What? You again! Get off this channel!

Problems with clickable ads?

Anyone having problems with accidentally clicking on side links on the Nitrome website while playing a game?
If you're using Firefox you can zoom in by holding Ctrl and rolling the mouse wheel.

Zoom in as far as possible and you will no longer have problem with clicking outside the window

Dirk Valentine 2?

Did anyone notice the Dirk Valentine-reference in the 15th level of Final Ninja Zero?
If you find the message in level 15 Monty, the old guy from Dirk Valentine appears and says

Okay Dirk
Hang on, you're not Dirk!
Must be a side effect of this blasted Martian radiaton.

When you finish Dirk Valentine the ending screen says

...And Dirk, he returned to England only to encounter a little problem in...
Dirk Valentine and the Martian Underworld....
