Dirk Valentine 2?

Did anyone notice the Dirk Valentine-reference in the 15th level of Final Ninja Zero?
If you find the message in level 15 Monty, the old guy from Dirk Valentine appears and says
Okay Dirk
Hang on, you're not Dirk!
Must be a side effect of this blasted Martian radiaton.
When you finish Dirk Valentine the ending screen says
...And Dirk, he returned to England only to encounter a little problem in...
Dirk Valentine and the Martian Underworld....
Dirk Valentine 2 coming soon?

    Yup I noticed that... Also one in the 18th level:

    Right dirk... what, you again?! get off this channel!

    But there is more!

    One of the gravestones on the horror skin background says:

    DV 2009?

    There is also a gravestone with 'FB?' on it which predicted frost bite 2...

    On the party skin background you can see some martian creations.

    theres a glitch in lvl 18 right at the beggining you start out just outside the lift but the lift lingers for a secound and if u quickely get back on then the level is complete and u dont gave to do it!

    There is said that there will be a sequel to Dirk Valentine and the Fortress of Steam, named Dirk Valentine and the Martian Underworld. It was later confirmed by Mat Annal that there were no immediate plans for Dirk Valentine and the Martian Underworld and that the game would not be made by the end of the year.
    Monty appears in a few secret area's in levels 15 and 18 in Final Ninja Zero.
